Serial work: what each tool documents about continuity

What Novi AI gives you for a whole season

Novi AI states that when a character is created the system locks their appearance, and that consistency is then maintained across the entire project. Serialized mini-dramas are said to be creatable from scripts, novels or story outlines. As of 2026-09-22.

2Locked at creation, and the moment matters

Two things are named in that sentence: an act by the user, and a moment at which the lock happens. Knowing the lock lands at creation tells a producer that the time to get a character right is before the first shot, not during it, and that a character invented halfway through a run is a new object rather than an edit to an old one.

The scope given is the project, which is the same scope most of this file works in. LTX Studio is the exception that scopes its cast wider than a single production, and the difference decides whether a returning series rebuilds its lead or reuses it.

The lock lands at creation, not at generationThe page states that creating a character locks their appearance and that consistency is then maintained across the entire project. That places the decision before the first shot, which makes a character invented mid-run a new object rather than an edit.CreationA character is made and thesystem locks the appearanceA lockedappearance, forthe projectInputA script, a novel or a storyoutline is acceptedText, atwhatever lengthOutputSerialized mini-dramas, undera minute to several minutesWhere the page is precisePrecise about the moment of the lock; silent on the frame and on the join.
Fig. 5 Knowing when a lock is applied tells a production when a mistake becomes expensive to correct.

3A novel as an accepted input is a statement about volume

Scripts, novels and outlines are listed together. A novel is two orders of magnitude longer than a scene, and a product that accepts one is claiming something about how much text it will read before it decides where the episodes fall. Nothing on the page says what it does with that text, so the cell records the claim and not a mechanism.

Length is given as under a minute to several minutes, which is a range rather than a frame. No aspect ratio appears anywhere on the page, so a buyer planning for a vertical app is left inferring the shape from the samples, and the field page for the shape of a deliverable explains why that inference is not safe.

4This page, read column by column

Each reading below takes one column, quotes the sentence this vendor published on it, and says what the sentence declines to settle.

  • Novi AI on the cast — The lock is placed at creation time and the span given is the entire project, which makes the moment of the lock the interesting part of the sentence.
  • Novi AI on the split — Serialized mini-dramas are stated to be creatable from scripts, novels or story outlines, with the input list precise and the split itself undescribed.
  • Novi AI on the shape — Short dramas are stated to run from under a minute to several minutes, with nothing anywhere on the page about the frame they are delivered in.
