Serial work: what each tool documents about continuity

Wire: serial-production developments, dated

Each wire entry records one development in AI serial production, such as a platform figure, a studio deal or a tool release, with the page it rests on and the day it was read, then sets it beside the register of season-scale tools. As of 2026-09-19.

The wire is the running log that sits in front of the register. An entry is filed when something changes what a production team can plan across a season: breaking a script into episodes, keeping a cast recognisable, or getting a finished run in front of viewers. Company figures are reported as the company or the cited data firm gives them; the register itself is not rewritten by a news item.

Inclusion rule. An item is filed when it bears on one of the three season-scale steps the register tracks. Order. Newest filing first.

1The short version of each entry

  • Jinxin micro-drama stake — Jinxin Technology, listed on Nasdaq as NAMI, agreed to issue 284,372,086 ordinary shares for a 40% economic interest in Yuanwei Network Technology, a producer of AI micro-dramas. The stake carries profit-sharing and information rights, not legal title or control, according to the company release carried on 18 September 2026.
  • Hongguo daily users — ByteDance's free short-drama app Hongguo averaged 168 million daily active users in July 2026, more than Tencent Video, iQiyi, Youku and Mango TV combined, according to QuestMobile data cited by eWeek. Eight of its ten most popular titles that month were AI-generated dramas or animated series.

2One pipeline's continuity

Serial work like “Wire” depends on continuity; SceneMixer's guides describe how it keeps it:

The longest an episode may run: 240 seconds for Short Drama, 300 for TV Series, none for Film.

Character consistency in AI short drama means one character keeps the same face, the same wardrobe and props, and the same art direction across the dozens to hundreds of shots in a series.
