Serial work: what each tool documents about continuity

Jinxin takes a 40% economic stake in AI micro-dramas

Jinxin Technology, listed on Nasdaq as NAMI, agreed to issue 284,372,086 ordinary shares for a 40% economic interest in Yuanwei Network Technology, a producer of AI micro-dramas. The stake carries profit-sharing and information rights, not legal title or control, according to the company release carried on 18 September 2026. As of 2026-09-19.

1An economic interest, not a takeover

The seller is HK Education Vision Holding, which holds equity in the Shanghai-based target. What changes hands is a share of the profit and the right to see the books and take part in decisions, while legal title and control stay with the seller. For a production outfit that is a financing arrangement, not a change of owner, and the release frames it as a step in a medium-to-long-term content plan rather than an acquisition.

Distribution is split in two: domestic online platforms, smart-hardware screens and offline venues on one side, and TikTok and YouTube on the international side. That second channel is the one an English-language production team would compete in.

2The production claims behind the deal

The release describes industrial-scale output built on consistent-character rendering, film-grade visual generation and multilingual localisation, produced on Jinxin's own multimodal model and an end-to-end video pipeline. Those are two of the three steps this register tracks: keeping a cast recognisable across episodes, and producing a run in more than one language.

The release names the capabilities but does not say how the character is held from one episode to the next, which is the same gap the register finds across most tool pages. The table below shows what each tool in the register does publish on that step.
